How does this work?
The soul
How can I talk to "dead people"? How is that even possible? How does that work? - These are all valid and understandable questions.
In my experience and perception, we are not human beings who have a soul — we are souls having a human experience. Our soul existed long before we were born and continues to exist after physical death.
This idea is supported by the law of conservation of energy, which states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed from one form into another.
Death is merely a transition of the soul. It leaves the physical body and returns to the Spirit World. The Spirit World is not somewhere far away or hidden in heaven — it is here, around us. It is a parallel dimension that is non-physical and therefore not tangible, which can make it difficult for us to fully grasp.
We all are — or have — a soul. Those of us living here on earth currently experience life through a physical body. Our loved ones in the Spirit World have simply laid this body aside, like an old garment.
Their personality, their character, and their essence continue to exist. The body itself is only a vessel.
Mediumship
Can everybody do this? - Yes and no.
All of us are mediums to a certain degree. We have our intuition, our gut feeling, or what some people call the sixth sense.
Most of us know situations like this: we are driving on the highway and suddenly get a strange feeling that the car ahead is about to switch lanes. We slow down a little – and moments later, the car moves over without warning.
Or we have a really good feeling about a job offer. Maybe we always walk the same route home, but one day decide to take a different turn and unexpectedly run into an old school friend we haven’t seen in years. There are endless examples like this.
We all have intuition. Perhaps we have simply forgotten how to listen to it – or our mind has become louder than our inner voice.
We can all speak to our loved ones in the Spirit World and ask them for signs.
During meditation, we connect with our higher self, our inner self, or our soul – whatever name feels right to you. We quiet our minds, allow our thoughts to settle, and turn our attention inward.
The clair-
senses
As a medium, I work with several so-called clair-senses. These include:
-
clairvoyance (seeing)
-
clairaudience (hearing)
-
clairsentience (feeling)
-
clairolfactrience (smelling)
-
clairgustance (tasting)
-
claircognissance (knowing)
Through these senses, a communicator may show me memories, objects, places, or situations, which I then perceive through my inner vision. This does not necessarily mean that I see the person exactly as they looked here on earth, although that can happen as well.
Perhaps you can think of it like a memory of your own: when you close your eyes, you may clearly picture your grandmother’s kitchen — the cupboards, the table, or the curtains at the window. Clairvoyance feels similar to that for me, except that these are not my own memories.
I like to explain clairgustance using a lemon. Imagine cutting a fresh lemon in half. You pick up one half, smell it, and squeeze it slightly so the juice gathers on the surface. Then you think about biting into it. Even though there is no lemon anywhere near you, you may already feel your face reacting to the sourness.
In the same way, I may suddenly taste coffee during a session, even though I am not drinking any. If this is important for the communicator, I may be able to tell whether they drank their coffee black or with milk, hot or lukewarm.
The other clair senses work in a similar way. Which senses are used during a session is not something I consciously decide. The communicator uses the impressions that best help them express themselves.
FAQ
What will our session look like?
You may be wondering what a session like this actually looks like.
At the beginning, we briefly go over any open questions so that you can feel comfortable and at ease. For the session itself, I don’t need any information from you. I simply ask you to respond with “yes,” “no,” or “I don’t know” during the reading.
I then establish the connection to the Spirit World. I usually begin by describing the person who comes forward. I may also sense the relationship they had with you – at the same time, it’s important to stay open. For example, if your grandmother felt like a mother to you, that is how she may come across to me.
Your loved ones present themselves in their own unique way. They may share aspects of their personality, their way of life, shared memories, or meaningful experiences from their life. In this way, you begin to recognize them step by step.
I give them a voice so that their story can be felt and experienced by you. Often, this creates not only recognition, but also a sense of closeness and connection. I do not control what information comes through. My role is to establish the connection and allow your loved ones the space to communicate and share their story in their own way.
What can I not expect from our session?
I do not make predictions, nor do I give advice – whether medical, legal, or otherwise.
If a communicator shares a thought or perspective, I will of course pass it on. However, I will always make it clear that this is their personal viewpoint.
Our loved ones in the Spirit World still have their own personalities and perspectives. They share them because they care about us and wish us well.
How you choose to receive or interpret this is entirely up to you.
Can I choose who comes through?
Of course, you may wish to hear from a certain person in the Spirit World. Once you have booked our appointment, you can also tell this person about it and invite them to join us. In my experience, this works around 80% of the time — however, I cannot guarantee it.
I am merely the medium — the “telephone”, if you will. I do not decide who comes through. If, for example, you are currently starting your own business and deeply wish to hear from your sister because you miss her terribly, your father may still come through instead if he spent many years self-employed himself and wishes to share his guidance and support with you.
Ultimately, Spirit decides who steps forward, and very often it makes perfect sense in hindsight, even if we may not fully understand it in the moment.
Do I have to receive a contact from someone I do not want to hear from?
No, you do not. If someone comes through during our session whom you do not wish to hear from or with whom you feel uncomfortable, we will of course respect that and ask this person to step back.
Sometimes people in Spirit become deeply aware of the pain they may have caused during their lifetime and wish to apologize or make peace. However, if you do not feel ready for this, that is completely okay.
In that case, we will simply ask someone else to step forward.
What happens if I do not recognize the communicator?
In most cases, you will recognize the person who comes forward quite clearly.
Sometimes, however, it can take a moment for the full picture to come together. Your loved ones often present themselves through different aspects – their personality, shared memories, or certain characteristics.
It can also happen that more than one person comes forward at the same time. For example, my father loved cycling, and my grandfather was very tall. If I perceive both at once, it may be that they are both present together.
In these moments, it can be helpful if you give me a small hint, so that we can place the connection more clearly together.
If, after eight minutes, you truly do not recognize the person at all, we will of course end the session, and you will receive a full refund.
What is my role as a sitter?
As the sitter or recipient, you simply need to remember to answer with “Yes”, “No”, or “I don’t know” during the session. Giving additional information is referred to as “feeding the medium.”
My role is to bring you evidence that your loved ones are still very much present. However, this opportunity would be taken away from me — and from them — if you were to give me too many details beforehand.
So let your family and friends in Spirit tell their own story.
How do I recognize a good medium?
There are a few key aspects that can help you better understand the quality of a medium’s work.
Training and ongoing development
A good medium continues to develop over time. Mediumship is not something static – it evolves. A solid training background, combined with ongoing development, is a strong indicator of both quality and responsibility.
How the session is conducted
A medium should be able to provide clear and meaningful information without relying heavily on questions. Of course, not every detail will always resonate immediately – what matters is how the medium handles this.
Structure and flow
A good sitting has a natural flow. The communication feels coherent and connected, rather than random or scattered.
Clarity and precision
The more specific and detailed the information, the easier it is to recognize and place. General statements are easy to make – meaningful details are what define quality.
Transparency and fairness
Many mediums offer a refund if the connection cannot be clearly recognized at the beginning of a session. This can also be a sign of a responsible and client-focused approach.
